palladium show friends?

i'm seriously considering flying from ny to dallas just for the show. i've never even been to texas before. none of my friends want/can afford to come with me. is it totally creepy to ask any of you dallas people if you'd like to be friends/hang out before/after the show? i'm awesome and not a killer. what say ye?
