Summer of the Strange...Drop D?

I was trying to figure out the bassline to this song on my guitar until I finally just went to drop D and it seems at least for the bass, it's in drop d. If that's right, then this may be the first time I've heard a Toadies song in that tuning. Just thought it was interesting.

Bass is a full step down, guitars are standard tuning
When I asked my mother where babies came from, she thought I said "rabies." She said you get them from being bitten by a dog. The next week, a woman on my block gave birth to triplets... I thought she'd been bitten by a great dane.
