El Paso show rocked

Postby chunkfuzzman on Thu Jul 22, 2010 2:40 pm

Show was pretty damned awesome. What more can I say? I'm glad they stopped here on their way to Cali. Todd seemed a little under the weather, but still delivered.
It was cool cuz, Todd asked how many people had seen them before, and about 30-40 % raised their hand, and the rest were first timers. It seemed to please him. Pretty good crowd for el paso.
Suck magic was killer live.

Not many asses screaming for Tyler. Hehe

Yeah I always liked watching Rez play. He really works. And, ok, I'll admit it. Sometimes I picture him naked. There, I said it. Someone had to.

Oh and I'm glad they added heel to the setlist. Rez had said that they weren't doing it cuz it's one of their tough ones to play, but he did awesome. It's one of my favorites.

The crowd definitely was better than I expected. Since I've moved to the El Paso area, I've realized it generally sucks at everyhting including drawing good rock music. It'd been too long since I've had a chance to see them live. It was also great to see so many "Feeler" songs performed. I think I'd only heard "Waterfall" and "ATF", still waiting for Joey...

What's the deal with the new bass player, is he only doing live shows? I never see him listed as a member.

I haven't posted to a Toadies forum in a while, but I see a lot of handles I recognize, good to see. I think my old names were "lethalinjection" or "morelikevernie"

They played Heel at the Tucson show too, and it fucking rocked! So, maybe, they have gotten over the hump? :D
