wow  that's interesting news considering she was a founding member of Toadies or (so I thought). I thought she and VTL worked at a music store and then somewhere down the line Toadies were born after Todd taught Lisa to play bass.

Paul, thanks for all your help and insight regarding Feeler and answering all our toadies questions.

For that matter Doni isn't listed on the album either as a band member. Did he play bass on this album or did Todd do it?

I knew about Lisa not playing on HB/SA (or I had heard that around 2001 or so), but I would bet money the bass you hear on Rubberneck is her work.

I think Doni is a touring member for the Toadies. I remember the band tried to put out an open audition thing on myspace to fill the bass spot when they tour. This was all announced a few years back when the Toadies said they were coming back, shortly after Burden Brothers had disbanded. Vaden played Bass on the No Deliverance recordings as well. (you probably already know that though). Vaden also played Bass on the new feeler tracks. Doni and his brother, Zach, played in a Dallas band called Hagfish that had a pretty nice local following in Dallas.

His brother Zach has played in GWAR and currently plays guitar for the band Rise Against.
Zach Blair also played in the Burden Brothers at some point too.

Yeah Waterfall and Joey, Let's Go are the EXACT same recordings from the HB/SA outtakes. It's odd to me that they didn't choose to re-record them again... Or maybe they just wanted to use songs that were recorded years ago... kind of confused lol.

Finally got my copy in the mail. I had it shipped to my aunts house in Florida while on vacation. I'm so glad I did. The album is very solid. We'd all love more songs, but I'm just glad they didn't make it an EP as someone mentioned. As for Waterfall and Joey, Lets Go not being re-recorded I'm guessing all the legal stuff with Interscope was taken care of to release them on Feeler. Why re-record if the songs are already mastered and ready to go. Yesterday while playing it in the car my four year old really liked Mine. I played it three times before I told him no more.

Here's hoping it doesn't take two decades for Doni Blair to become a full member of the band like it did Ronnie Wood of the 'Stones. Here's hoping for two more decades of the Toadies.
